Today’s Word and Prayers – 16 May 2018 – May God bless and keep you in his love and mercy. Friends, today’s Word comes straight from the heart of Jesus. This week began with the high priestly prayer of Jesus (John 17). Today he continues to pray for you even if you are not the only one who has been in the habit of not praying for yourself or even remember to pray for others. St Paul follows the same pattern, praying for his community brothers and sisters, just as he was finishing his work among them for a while. Do you know the power of prayer can enlarge your heart to be more open and accepting others who are different from your opinions, tribe, color, language, class, position? Yet we are all children of the same creator God and Father. Hence, we pray, “Our Father…” Would you like to pray or be prayed for your beautiful soul today? Lord Jesus bless your beautiful soul today who needs love, care and mercy, for a second chance at life. We call upon you, for your name we are made in your image, Christ Jesus. Amen.
